About the role
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Store Manager in staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
- Serves as a point of contact for guests, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Develops and trains staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Ensures compliance with store policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
- Manages inventory levels, controls shrinkage, and maintains accurate records.
- Monitors and manages expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Collaborates with other departments to achieve store goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
- A flexible schedule is required.
- Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
- Prior retail management experience is required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in retail operations, preferably in a seasonal or temporary setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Pay
