About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. They are responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

Supports the Store Manager in staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store
Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding store operations and policies
Assists in the development and training of staff
Manages inventory levels and controls shrinkage
Ensures compliance with safety and security protocols
Works closely with the Store Manager to achieve store goals and objectives

Requirements

Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
Prior retail management experience is required
Flexible schedule is necessary due to the physical demands of the job which includes 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $17.25 - $17.50 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
