About the role
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. They are responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Store Manager in staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store
- Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding store operations and policies
- Assists in the development and training of staff
- Manages day-to-day operations to ensure profitability and guest satisfaction
- Ensures compliance with all store policies and procedures
- Monitors and controls expenses, shrinkage, and inventory levels
- Manages the store's merchandise displays and inventory control
- Works closely with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies for increasing sales and profits
- Handles customer inquiries and complaints
- Participates in store meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
- Flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of the job
- Prior retail management experience is required
- Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of retail operations and principles
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
Hourly rate ranges from $18.90 - $19.15 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
