About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. They are responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Store Manager in staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
  • Serves as a point person for the Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Manages guest services, including handling customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Develops and trains staff to ensure they meet performance standards.
  • Controls expenses, monitors shrinkage, and manages inventory control.
  • Oversees the implementation of marketing strategies to increase sales and profitability.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
  • A flexible schedule is required.
  • Prior retail management experience is required.
  • Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in retail operations and management.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $21.29 - $21.54 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Schedule
