About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising and supporting the direction and planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional customer experiences, manage store operations, and maintain brand standards.

Responsibilities

• 30% Brand: Supervise associates to maximize sales/KPIs and drive customer loyalty in assigned stores. Ensure all brand standards are met such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.

• 30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, coach or counsel, and maintain positive relations with associates and managers.

• 30% Operations: Execute company processes, manage inventory, payroll, and store opening/closing procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies and protect company assets.

• 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure store safety, protect company assets, analyze reports, and comply with HAZMAT training and execution.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• At least 18 years of age

• Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred

• At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred

• Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives

• Effective communication skills

• Scheduling availability to meet business needs

• Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
