Assistant Store Manager PT
About the role
Lids Sports Group is the largest licensed sports retailer in North America, selling fan and fashion-oriented headwear and apparel across the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia. We operate 1,200+ domestic locations and 50+ international stores, including specialty concept stores for the NBA, NHL, Paris Saint-Germain, and various MLB teams. The company aims to become the largest licensed brick-and-mortar sports retailer globally.
Responsibilities
- Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
- Meet or exceed Company Objectives in individual statistics.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisals of associate sales performance and offer feedback on strengths and opportunities.
- Adhere to current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Company’s Dress Code Policy.
Additional responsibilities
- Supervise store associates by participating in training programs, setting goals, and providing regular follow-up.
- Recruit and train new store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.
- Ensure store associates comply with established company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including safekeeping of company inventory, funds, and property.
- Perform work of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
Required knowledge & skills
- High school diploma or equivalent with one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to produce sales results while minimizing losses.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Proficiency in operating computers and related software programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring climbing and overhead work.
- Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred knowledge & skills
- Opportunity to earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience.

Education
Reports To: Store Manager
Location and Compensation
Annual pay ranges between $29,536 - $60,405.80. You may also be offered a bonus and other benefits.
