Assistant Store Manager - Full Time

Role Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations by maintaining a clean, organized store focused on customer satisfaction. Under the Store Manager's guidance, they supervise employees, manage merchandise presentation, handle paperwork, and assist with financial tasks such as deposits. They perform stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability and protect assets. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service, greet customers, and operate cash registers.Assist with employee scheduling, training, and safety meetings.Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and display according to planograms.Maintain inventory accuracy, control damages and markdowns, and oversee merchandise rotation.Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash handling procedures, including deposits.Support store management in the absence of the Store Manager. Qualifications & Skills Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to interpret manuals, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash register operations.Knowledge of cash, safety, and security policies.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail and supervisory experience advantageous. Working Conditions Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.Handling merchandise and equipment in a fast-paced environment.Occasional outdoor weather exposure and driving for bank deposits or store visits.
