Assistant Managers support the Store Manager and team in delivering outstanding guest service.
Responsibilities
- Manage the store team’s guest service behaviors, providing coaching to ensure friendly, welcoming interactions and a commitment to resolving guest concerns.
- Support the Store Manager in building and developing a strong team through training, scheduling, coaching, and fostering an engaging work environment aligned with company values.
- Partner with the Store Manager to achieve operational excellence and financial objectives, including store promotions, sales targets, and cost controls.
- Maintain overall store appearance and cleanliness, including the coffee station, food service area, and restrooms, delegating tasks to uphold company standards.
- Assist with quality control, merchandising, safety programs, and food service guidelines to ensure successful operations.
- Monitor product levels on the sales floor, in coolers, and freezers, rotating stock and restocking to achieve 100% in-stock availability for guests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Person in Charge.

Requirements
- Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of retail or food service experience; must complete Assistant Manager Training program before assignment.
- Preferred Experience: 1-2 years in retail, guest service, or restaurant leadership.
- ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills
- Comfortable interacting with guests and team members.

- Basic computer skills.
Schedule
- Primarily second shifts, opposite the Store Manager.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Full-time position, up to 40 hours per week.
- 5-10% travel required to cover other stores or attend meetings.
- Ability to deliver deposits to the bank independently (where applicable) and must have a personal vehicle.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours a day.
- Frequent reaching overhead, bending, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
- Ability to work in cooler environments (cold temperatures).
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Specialized attire required (e.g., hats, visors, gloves provided).
Additional Information
- Desired: 2 years of retail management experience or 2 years of non-retail management experience.
- Desired: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Stable work history preferred.
- Proficient computer skills.
