Assistant Managers support the Store Manager and team in delivering outstanding guest service.
Responsibilities
- Manage the store team’s guest service behaviors, providing coaching to ensure friendly, welcoming interactions and a commitment to resolving guest concerns.
- Support the Store Manager in building and developing a strong team through training, scheduling, coaching, and fostering an engaging work environment aligned with company values.
- Partner with the Store Manager to achieve operational excellence and financial objectives, including store promotions, sales targets, and cost controls.
- Maintain overall store appearance and cleanliness (inside and out), ensuring the coffee station, food service area, and bathrooms meet company standards.
- Oversee quality control, merchandising, safety programs, and food service guidelines to ensure successful operations.
- Monitor product levels on the sales floor, including coolers and freezers, rotate stock, and maintain 100% in-stock availability for guests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Person in Charge.

Requirements
- Minimum: High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum: 1 year of retail or food experience; must complete Assistant Manager Training program before assignment.
- Preferred: 1–2 years of retail, guest service, or restaurant experience in a leadership role.
- ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills

Schedule
This position is primarily scheduled on second shifts, opposite the Store Manager, and requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions
- Full-time role (up to 40 hours per week).
- 5–10% travel to cover other stores or attend meetings.
- Ability to independently deliver deposits to the bank (where applicable) and must have a personal vehicle.
- Physical demands include standing/walking for up to 8 hours daily, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in cold temperatures (e.g., coolers).
- Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
- Specialized attire required (e.g., hats, visors, gloves provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of retail management experience or 2 years of non-retail management experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Stable work history.
- Proficient computer skills.
