Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments:
    • Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors in all activities.
    • Maintain awareness on the sales floor to ensure a safe shopping environment.
    • Correct or report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
    • Oversee building security, including entrance/exit control, EAS device checks, Cash Office security, and register area.
    • Ensure clear egress to emergency exits and remove clutter.
    • Handle customer safety, accident prevention, reporting, and emergency procedures.
    • Test fire alarm systems as scheduled and respond to after-hours alarms when requested.
  • Customer Service:
    • Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
    • Recognize associates using Company recognition programs.
    • Maintain a professional appearance according to the Company Dress Code and ensure associates adhere to it.
    • Keep all store areas clean, well-maintained, and merchandised to standard, including daily trash removal.
  • General Merchandising:
    • Ensure recovery, sizing, and markdowns are completed to Company standards.
    • Receive merchandise trucks, process all merchandise with urgency, and handle non-merchandise inbound deliveries (e.g., signs, supplies).
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all stockrooms.
    • Deliver and place merchandise on the sales floor and secure back-stock per Company policy.
    • Merchandise assigned departments, including back stock, and reduce loss due to damage.
    • Ensure compliance with monthly presentation guidelines, including floor moves, signing, and promotional signing.
    • Handle re-wraps as needed.
  • Loss Prevention:
    • Comply with the Loss Prevention Awareness Program and maintain a strong customer service presence on the sales floor.
    • Demonstrate integrity and honesty in all interactions with associates and customers.
    • Safeguard confidential information, cash, credit card information, and merchandise.
    • Maintain the Public View Monitor (PVM) system and conduct "Code 50" package inspections.
    • Execute Company best practices to maximize productivity.
  • Front End Supervision and Operations:
    • Execute Company best practices to maximize productivity and minimize steps and touches.
    • Ensure associates adhere to Company standards at the Front End.
    • Maintain pace, energy, and presence at the Front End to manage customer wait times.
    • Train and coach associates on cash registers, shortage control policies, and other Front End procedures.
    • Control Retail Associates' break schedules for backups, lunches, and breaks.
    • Ensure all equipment is working properly and maintain proper supplies and recovery for the Front End.
    • Expedite go-backs, ensuring they are scanned, security tagged, and ticketed.
    • Teach associates the "Scan and Bag" best practice.
    • Ensure salability of merchandise on the Front End, aisle tables, and specialty racks.
  • Fitting Rooms:
    • Maintain cleanliness of fitting rooms.
    • Audit and account for all fitting room garment tags per Company policy.
    • Ensure go-back compliance throughout the day, with all merchandise returned to the sales floor properly ticketed, scanned, nubbed, and security tagged.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Conduct cash pulls and bank deposits per Company policy.
    • Oversee Front End control, including refund approval, associate purchase approval, securing tills, and cash in safe.
    • Handle register Paid Outs/Ins, void approval, register media, and break schedules.
    • Administer payroll, including daily punch edits, associate scheduling compliance, Sunday payroll transmission, and payroll reporting.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
  • Ability to regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
  • Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
