Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the overall operation of a well-organized, customer-focused store. Under the direction of the Store Manager, they supervise staff, oversee merchandise presentation, and handle paperwork and deposits. They support store management in the Store Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Operate cash registers
• Assist with opening and closing the store
• Help with employee scheduling, training, and safety meetings
• Ensure policy compliance
• Manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, and creating displays
• Maintain accurate inventory levels
• Assist in implementing planograms and ensuring proper merchandise presentation
• Uphold financial integrity: manage cashier accountability, cash controls, and security practices
• Authorize refunds and count tills
