Assistant Store Manager

Pay

Hourly range: $12.77 – $18.40. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts, and is expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.).
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on individual training.
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure selection of qualified team members.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure.
• Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and friendly, refunds issued accurately using correct payment methods, and returned merchandise processed or staged in the returns area correctly.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
• Ensure Zipline messages are communicated, and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed as assigned.
• Ensure all team members comply with company policies: adhering to posted work schedule, changes/deviations approved by management, and team members clocking in/out accordingly.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits per company policy, preparing bank deposits as needed, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors and securing building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicle(s) parked in a secure designated area.
• Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Assistant Manager Certification
• RSS Certification
• Certified Parts Professional Certification (desired)
• ASE Certification (desired)
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
