Assistant Store Manager
The Assistant Store Manager at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for leading the store team in providing excellent customer service and managing the store during the Store Manager's absence or when working opposing shifts. Key duties include:
- Leading the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervising the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs.
- Working with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours.
- Aiding the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring they stay current on their individual training.
- Aiding in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure the selection of qualified team members.
- Maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/s equipment, and delivery vehicles.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations.
- Assisting in the processing of buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders.
- Ensuring all retail customer returns and exchanges are processed in an efficient and friendly manner, refunds are issued accurately, and returned merchandise is processed or staged correctly.
- Ensuring all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Communicating Zipline messages, delegating and completing Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Making sure all team members are complying with company policies, specifically adhering to the posted work schedule, changes/deviations are being approved by a member of management, and team members are clocking in/out accordingly.
- Performing all store opening/closing duties, including performing day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits according to company policy, preparing bank deposits as needed, ensuring all night security lights are on, locking doors and securing building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicle(s) parked in a secure designated area.
Pay & Benefits:
- Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour. Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
- Additional Compensation: Annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Qualifications:
- Sales Specialist Training
- Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
- Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
