Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager at O'Reilly Auto Parts supports the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading the store team in providing excellent customer service.
2. Supervising customer service levels and executing customer service programs.
3. Aiding the store manager in staffing the retail sales counter, particularly during peak times.
4. Aiding in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
5. Aiding in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management.
6. Maintaining the store's appearance and ensuring all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store.
7. Making sure telephone calls are answered according to company policy, processing buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders.
8. Ensuring all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
9. Utilizing the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently.
10. Making sure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to the posted work schedule, and clock in/out correctly.
11. Performing store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring all night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicles.
12. Maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.

Pay

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training
• Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
