Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Supports the Store Manager in ensuring smooth store operations
• Delivers exceptional customer service
• Maintains merchandising standards
• Adequately adheres to operational procedures
• Drives sales performance
• Supports the Store Manager by mentoring trainee associates
• Achieves sales targets
• Drives business growth
• Supports management of inventory levels
• Processes shipments, handles damages and returns, and manages supplies
• Assists in the recruitment process for store talent
• Trains, staffs, and retains employees
• Supports the Store Manager with all administrative tasks
• Ensures strict adherence to policies and procedures
• Communicates insights and feedback to the Store Manager
• Works closely with the Store Manager and Loss Prevention Team to address internal and external shrink
• Achieves sales targets by training, motivating, mentoring, and offering constructive feedback to the sales team
• Manages cash-handling tasks
• Ensures a clean, safe environment for both associates and customers

• Capable in delivering constructive feedback that promotes both recognition and accountability
• Fosters a culture of growth and continuous improvement within the team
• Strong leadership, organizational, and customer management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to relocate or manage additional stores based on business needs
• Ability to travel between locations is required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Hospitality or related degrees is preferred
• 1+ years of experience in retail management, with a strong track record of leading teams
