About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager at Landscapers Supply, you will help lead day-to-day operations while driving team performance, customer experience, and overall store success. You will work closely with the Store Manager and leadership team to create a high-performing, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development

    • Help recruit, train, coach, and motivate store associates
    • Build a positive, high-energy team culture
    • Lead by example through strong communication and accountability
  • Customer Experience

  • Deliver exceptional service for contractors and homeowners
  • Build long-term customer relationships
  • Resolve issues quickly and professionally
  • Store Operations

    • Oversee daily store operations and workflow
    • Support inventory management, merchandising, and stock control
    • Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing departments
  • Sales & Performance

    • Help drive sales growth and profitability
    • Monitor KPIs, margins, and operational performance
    • Execute promotions and merchandising strategies
  • Inventory & Merchandising

    • Manage inventory accuracy and product flow
    • Prevent stock shortages and minimize shrinkage
    • Ensure strong product presentation throughout the store
  • Safety & Compliance

    • Maintain a safe work environment
    • Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures

    Qualifications

    • Preferred Qualifications

    • Retail management or assistant management experience
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Customer-first mindset
    • Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with POS systems (Paladin experience is a plus)
    • Strong organizational and operational skills

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
    • Ability to work in an active retail environment
