About the role
As an Assistant Store Manager at Landscapers Supply, you will help lead day-to-day operations while driving team performance, customer experience, and overall store success. You will work closely with the Store Manager and leadership team to create a high-performing, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Help recruit, train, coach, and motivate store associates
- Build a positive, high-energy team culture
- Lead by example through strong communication and accountability
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional service for contractors and homeowners
- Build long-term customer relationships
- Resolve issues quickly and professionally
Store Operations
- Oversee daily store operations and workflow
- Support inventory management, merchandising, and stock control
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing departments
Sales & Performance
- Help drive sales growth and profitability
- Monitor KPIs, margins, and operational performance
- Execute promotions and merchandising strategies
Inventory & Merchandising
- Manage inventory accuracy and product flow
- Prevent stock shortages and minimize shrinkage
- Ensure strong product presentation throughout the store
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail management or assistant management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Customer-first mindset
- Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with POS systems (Paladin experience is a plus)
- Strong organizational and operational skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work in an active retail environment
