About the role
Responsible for providing high-end customer service and store support. The Assistant Store Manager directly oversees all aspects of operations and day-to-day routine work of rental and retail associates in store. Responsible for maintaining business standards and has increased decision-making authority. Acts as a knowledgeable representative of our brand and drives culture inside our rental and retail stores. Fulfills day-to-day work responsibilities for the organization as needed.
Responsibilities
- Co-lead with a leadership team of 3–4 fellow Assistant Store Managers
- Manage a team of 10–40+ employees daily
- Provide consistent and direct feedback, coaching, and guidance to team members
- Design, execute, and track training plans
- Ensure department and staff have all necessary supplies
- Create a rewarding work environment and generate a team atmosphere
- Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
- Manage inventory of rental and retail product
- Communicate ideas or issues with Store and Regional Managers
- Manage operational schedules and assist with payroll
- Remain current on new industry products and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of products
- Assist with administrative duties
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
- 2 years in retail and/or rental experience (preferred)
- Knowledge and passion for talent development
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
- Must be a team player and able to handle a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Possess the desire to offer the highest customer service standards to guests
- Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems (preferred)
- Physically able to perform tasks that require moving up to 50 lbs of weight
- Able to stand at a work station for long periods while remaining mobile at short notice
- Ability to work weekends and holidays consistently throughout the season
- Average shift length of 9–10 hours per day
Pay
$25.00 – $32.14 per hour. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
