Assistant Store Manager
About the role
The Assistant Manager oversees the customer experience, trains and develops the store staff, leads by example on the selling floor, and maintains store standards.
Responsibilities
Training Completion: Ensure all associates complete training per company guidelines.
Leadership by Example: Lead by example by training, developing, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching on product knowledge, selling skills, visual merchandising, and delivering the customer experience.
Customer Service: Ensure an excellent level of customer service is a priority by consistently executing and achieving the Customer Experience through regular assessment, coaching, and follow-up with the team.
Visual Merchandising: Maintain all visual merchandising standards, directives, promotions, and ensure overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.
Drive Sales & Profitability: Meet or exceed profitability expectations for the store in sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion.
Payroll Management: Meet all payroll expectations.
Loss Prevention: Control company assets by meeting all loss prevention measures.
Policies Compliance: Execute and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Minimum two years of experience with a proven track record for driving sales and profit results, and training and developing a team of individuals.
Proficiency in personal computer use and detailed report analysis.
High school education or equivalent preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds.
Ability to stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
