About the role
Come work for a great New Hampshire company in a fun, fast-paced environment! The Assistant Store Manager supports the General Manager in day-to-day store operations. This is a working management role—our managers work alongside employees on the floor and in the kitchen, offer hands-on training, guidance, and development of staff, and assist customers with inquiries and purchases.
Responsibilities
- Keeping the general store stocked and priced with attractive displays
- Daily paperwork, reporting, and logs
- Maintaining positive vendor relationships
- Scheduling, training, and supervising employees
- Supporting operations in kitchen as needed, including preparing, cooking, and packaging of food items
- Maintaining proper food safety, sanitation, and quality
- Aiding in the cleanliness and appearance of the store and grounds
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail management
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to obtain/maintain relevant certifications, including Underground Storage Tank Operator A/B and ServSafe
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel, squat, bend and reach
- Must be able to lift/carry packages up to 50 pounds
Pay
$52k–$55k annually, depending on experience.
