The Role

The Assistant Store Manager will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager with the successful day‑to‑day running of the brand's new Madison Avenue flagship. This is a hands‑on leadership position suited to someone who is passionate about luxury retail, product, styling and building meaningful long‑term client relationships. The successful candidate will support all aspects of store operations, including team leadership, client experience, visual merchandising, inventory management and commercial performance. They will act as a strong presence on the sales floor, leading by example and delivering an exceptional and highly personalised level of service.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with the overall day‑to‑day management and performance of the flagship store.
• Lead, motivate and support the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional service.
• Develop long‑term client relationships through proactive clienteling, personal shopping and personalised styling.
• Act as a brand ambassador on the sales floor, providing expert product knowledge and styling advice.
• Support team scheduling, training, coaching and ongoing development.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure consistently high operational standards.
• Support visual merchandising and ensure the store reflects the brand's luxury positioning.
• Manage inventory, point‑of‑sale activities and stock processes.
• Monitor store performance and support initiatives to drive sales, client retention and loyalty.
• Implement loss prevention procedures and maintain excellent standards of organisation and presentation.
• Work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities to grow the business and strengthen the client experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within luxury fashion or specialist retail.
• Strong luxury customer service skills with a proven ability to build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Personal shopping and clienteling experience.
• Genuine passion for fashion, product and styling.
• Retail leadership or management experience, including supporting teams, daily operations and sales performance.
• Strong communication skills and confidence to lead, motivate and develop others.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach and ability to thrive within an entrepreneurial and growing luxury business.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using POS systems and interpreting basic retail performance data; Shopify experience is advantageous.
• Appreciation for craftsmanship, sustainability, quality and considered luxury.
• Flexibility to work full‑time on site, including weekends, evenings and holidays when required.
