Assistant Store Manager
About the role
The Assistant Store Manager position at Curaleaf is a full-time role requiring open availability on weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts. Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in developing, leading, and motivating a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience that supports building brand loyalty and achieving financial targets.
- Operate as the Manager on Duty as assigned by Store Management and represent Curaleaf as a brand ambassador by providing top-notch customer service and educating guests on our products.
- Proactively communicate with Store Manager, District Manager, and cross-functional partners to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Model the way and lead selling behaviors aligned with our brand culture to support building loyal customer relationships and delivering on key financial targets.
- Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g., registers, LeafLogix, etc.) and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned, including assisting team members as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail and/or customer service experience in a high-paced selling environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
- Strong sense of business acumen and understanding of how to measure success through the achievement of financial targets and other key performance indicators.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
- Previous experience working in a heavily regulated industry.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams.
- Strong salesmanship skills, experience in driving revenue, and strong experience and attention to detail in cash handling and POS operations.
- Demonstrated desire for continued learning and the ability to effectively share information with broad audiences.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative/be empowered to run the business in the absence of the Store Manager.
