About the role
The Assistant Store Manager position at Curaleaf is a high-growth, purpose-driven role within the cannabis industry. You'll assist the Store Manager in developing, leading, and motivating a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience that supports building brand loyalty and achieving financial targets.
Responsibilities
- Proactively communicate with Store Manager, District Manager, and Cross-functional Partners to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Model the way and lead selling behaviors, aligned with our brand culture, to support building loyal customer relationships and delivering on key financial targets.
- Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g., registers, LeafLogix, etc.)
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned, including assisting team members as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail and/or customer service experience in a high-paced selling environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
- Strong sense of business acumen and understanding of how to measure success through the achievement of financial targets and other key performance indicators.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
- Previous experience working in a heavily regulated industry.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams.
- Strong salesmanship skills.
- Experience in driving revenue.
- Strong experience and attention to detail in cash handling and POS operations.
- Demonstrated desire for continued learning and the ability to effectively share information with broad audiences.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative/be empowered to run the business in the absence of the Store Manager.
What You’ll Bring

Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and finger to feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 25 pounds.

- This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
- Work Environment: This job operates in a professional retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, POS systems, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
