About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing and developing the store's associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.
Responsibilities
30% Brand: Supervise and direct associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and manage associates, identifying strengths and opportunities, and addressing them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations with associates and peers, and ensure compliance with company policies.
30% Operations: Execute company processes, manage inventory, payroll, and store opening/closing procedures. Utilize digital strategies and tools for fulfillment and ensure compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure store safety and protect company assets by enforcing policies, controlling inventory, and analyzing reports. Manage shrink, damages, and banking procedures.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Age 18 or older
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
Minimum 1+ year(s) prior management experience
Ability to lead or support a team
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
