About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing all aspects of the store, including brand, people, and operations. They also take full responsibility when the Store Manager is not present.
Responsibilities
Brand: Supervise and plan associates' daily goals and activities to enhance customer experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and foster customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve business objectives. Recruit and manage a strong network of external candidates. Identify strengths and opportunities for associates and address them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations with associates and ensure compliance with company policies.
Operations: Execute company processes through training, management, and continuous improvement. Utilize digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment. Manage inventory, payroll, and store opening/closing procedures. Follow company directives, assignments, and projects.
Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure a safe store environment for associates and customers. Protect company assets by following inventory and cash control procedures. Analyze and utilize available reporting and technology.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
Ability to lead or support a team of associates
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
