General Function / Summary
The Assistant Store Manager serves and educates customers on the product portfolio by presenting options and addressing issues. They handle customer inquiries, perform sales calls, and manage cash transactions. The role requires strong customer service skills, effective communication, and compliance with regulations.
Duties
- Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher management
- Answer telephone inquiries and perform outbound calls
- Handle and count currency, cash, and coins
- Balance receipts and resolve discrepancies
- Process transactions accurately and comply with policies
- Complete compliance trainings and adhere to company policies
Minimum Education And Experience Required
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 1+ year(s) of experience with sales, customer service, and/or cash handling preferred
- Strong customer service, active listening, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work autonomously
- Own personal reliable transportation compliant with company policy
- Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance

Physical Demands
- Call center/retail/office environment
- Extensive cash handling
- Extended phone usage
- Long periods of standing
- Extended viewing of computer screens and typing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
Travel / Attendance
- Must be able to travel to all stores within the assigned district with personal vehicle
- May be asked to travel to neighboring districts
- May require overnight travel
- Must work assigned shifts as scheduled
