Assistant Store Leader (Product & Operations)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom.
  • Manage inventory levels, oversee in-store replenishment, and are responsible for size integrity on the sales floor, and communicate sell-through concerns with the Store Leader.
  • Properly manage damages, donations, returns, and product issues that could jeopardize inventory accuracy.
  • Effectively communicate and train store associates on operational standards, ensuring that they understand and implement our brand standards consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Oversee supply procurement and ensure the correct levels of supplies are always available and manage the budget accordingly.
  • Oversee the upkeep of in-store technology and communicate any updates with the team.
  • Aid in creating and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Analyze sales data and reports to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Create and maintain visually appealing product displays and signage to showcase our product offerings and attract customer attention.
  • React quickly to sell through and make adjustments as needed to maximize business results and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Play a key role in inventory management, conducting regular stock checks and assisting in replenishing merchandise as needed.
  • Communicate with partners to share assortment, allocation, and logistics feedback.
  • Share weekly/monthly product focuses and goals and provide the team with the actions needed to achieve the desired results.
  • Train store associates on visual merchandising techniques, ensuring that they understand and implement our brand standards consistently.
  • Be the in-store product expert; lead team training on product knowledge, new launches, and brand storytelling.
  • Ensure size integrity, stock replenishment, and product availability on the sales floor.
  • Lead operational excellence by enforcing compliance with safety, security, and company policies.
  • Support an elevated customer experience by ensuring a clean, organized, and well-maintained store environment.
  • Partner with the Store Leader to motivate the team and execute strategies that drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team of store associates.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to oversee daily operations, including inventory management, cash handling, and scheduling.
  • A deep understanding of customer service principles and the ability to provide exceptional service to all customers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle any issues that may arise in the store.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to communicate with customers and team members.
  • A good understanding of sales techniques and the ability to motivate your team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • The ability to stand and remain physically active and move around all areas of the store and be accessible to customers for 100% of the scheduled shift.
  • The ability to bend, reach, and stretch for product, as well as lift, carry, and move items up to 40 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
