Assistant Store Leader, Design & Trade

About the role

The Assistant Store Leader – Design & Trade drives business growth through strong leadership, exceptional client experiences, and elevated design services. In this role, you will oversee the design services and trade business, developing strategies and clienteling initiatives that drive sales, customer acquisition, and retention.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop a high-performing designer team through comprehensive onboarding, talent development, and performance coaching, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Analyze KPIs to identify opportunities to enhance sales and service performance while ensuring timely, SLA-driven design deliverables and an elevated, consistent brand experience for every client.
• Collaborate with the Store Leader to manage and delegate workload, align with the management team on store business goals, and communicate critical metrics and expectations.
• Participate in weekly store walk-throughs with the management team, focusing on promoting and driving sales, and communicating regularly with the management team concerning all aspects of sales, customer feedback/traffic, and associate training/performance.
• Coach, teach, train, recognize, and manage all aspects of performance and development for all store associates to encourage professional growth and build a bench of talent.
• Ensure all customers are provided gracious, quick, and efficient service. Set expectations and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and the company to both internal and external customers in all forms of communication.
• Collaborate with direct reports to promote the customer experience and a strong sense of teamwork by working together safely, effectively, respectfully, and efficiently with all associates.

Requirements

• 2+ years customer service or retail leadership experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Google applications, computer systems, and tablet devices

• Open availability to work flexible hours on weekdays, evenings, and weekends
