About the role

The El Super Assistant Store Director assists the Store Director in the complete operation of a designated store, working with corporate management, department heads, associates, and vendors to drive sales and ensure high levels of customer service while modeling professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Director in the overall operation of the store.
• Collaborate with corporate management, department heads, associates, and vendors to drive sales and maintain high customer service.
• Serve as a role model of professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision‑making.
• Help ensure the proper operation of all departments within the grocery store.
• Assist the Store Director in focusing on store employees and resolving complex problems.
• Coordinate employee work to achieve satisfactory operating results that comply with company procedures and policies.

Requirements

• CPFM – Certified Food Protection Manager or equivalent certification is required for positions involving food preparation, handling, and serving.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of a fast‑paced grocery store, including lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.
• Work environment typical of a busy grocery store.

Pay

Salary Range: $23.00 per hour.
