Assistant Speech Coach (SAHS)

Location: Stillwater Area High School

About the role

To prepare students for competitions and performances. Develop lesson plans and training sessions to enhance students' speech skills. Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their performance.

Responsibilities

• Planning and leading practice sessions
• Creating strategies to prepare/lead students for competitions
• Provide feedback and coaching at practices/competitions
• Follow District #834 Code of Ethics for Advisors

Requirements

• Connection to a high school community
• Ability to communicate with and be supportive of high school students
• Education degree and/or counseling background
• Previous speech coaching experience preferred

Schedule

• 18 activity weeks
• 7.5 hours per week
• After school, as assigned by the head speech coach
• Public performances: scheduled competitions

Pay

Co-curricular coaching contract (salary based on points).
