Assistant, Spanish Immersion/ (26-27)

Essential Duties

• Aid children individually or in small groups to help them master assignments and reinforce learning concepts.
• Supervise students in various school settings including classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, and gymnasiums, or on field trips.
• Enforce school policies and rules.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Instruct and monitor students in the safe use and care of equipment and materials.
• Observe student performance and record relevant data to assess progress.

Education and Experience

Minimum:

• Completion of an Associate's Degree OR two years of higher education equivalent to 48 credit hours OR ability to pass a formal assessment (Workkey and 96 hours of in-service training) OR completion of the NC DOL Apprenticeship Program OR completion of the NC ATA Professional Development Plan

Desirable:

• Associate's Degree with a concentration in Education
• Two years of experience working with elementary age children

Minimum Salary: $20.50 (could change based on experience)
