Assistant Shop Manager - Camino Real Marketplace

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in leadership by providing effective support to the retail team.
• Foster a sales-focused and customer-focused environment.
• Set an example by achieving daily, monthly, and annual sales goals.
• Communicate and implement company direction, policies, and programs.
• Delegate tasks, ensure team compliance, and provide necessary follow-up.
• Aid in resolving customer and employee concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Aid in training and developing team members on company programs, policies, and procedures.
• Provide support and feedback to team members to enhance their performance and growth.
• Aid in recruitment efforts by identifying and recommending qualified candidates for employment.
• Absorb and assist in monitoring and controlling expenses to meet budgetary goals.
• Absorb and assist in supporting procedures related to cash handling, protection of company assets, and banking.
• Absorb and assist in maintaining accurate timekeeping records and promptly approving weekly payroll.
• Absorb and assist in ensuring compliance with state and federal laws related to wages and breaks.
• Absorb and assist in collaborating with the Shop Manager and District Sales Managers to create and implement weekly work schedules.
• Absorb and assist in managing paperwork to meet established deadlines, including banking, new hires, and inventory.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail management experience.
• Possess proven success in developing, motivating, training, and coaching employees.
• Possess excellent customer service, communication, organizational skills, strong cash handling, and merchandising ability.
• Possess the ability to follow, as well as implement and enforce, company policies and procedures.
• Possess strong work performance.
• Possess proven ability to grow the business by seeking sales opportunities and developing a sales-driven team.
• Possess proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively, and in a positive manner.
• Have the physical ability to carry out the essential functions of the job, including packing candy, stocking shelves, ringing sales, standing, or walking the entire shift and lifting up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Be flexible in working hours, including weekends and holidays.

The pay rate for this position is $29.64 per hour.
