Assistant Service Manager Chilton

Essential Functions

• Acts as the lead person for coordinating all turf service repair work.
• Answers phone calls, provides technical advice, communicates between technicians and customers, prepares and presents repair orders, coordinates pick-up and delivery, and accepts payment.
• Coordinates with technicians and customers regarding repair orders and schedules.
• Communicates with customers on the status and timeframe of repairs, explaining repairs as needed to ensure proper understanding.
• Fills in for the Service Manager in his/her absence, rotating work days to assure proper coverage.
• Assists the Service Manager in ensuring compliance with governmental regulations, safety guidelines, company policies, and staying updated on manuals and other resources.
• Manages transportation for equipment, working with Delivery Drivers and third-party vendors to assure timely pickup and delivery.
• Assists in coordinating special promotions, clinics, and other departmental events.
• Completes management training towards employee, personal, profit/loss, budgeting, and general service-related goals.
• Attends department meetings and participates in other company events in a positive manner.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
• Ability to use a computer and current software programs required.
• Knowledge of turf equipment preferred.
