Assistant Service Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in servicing, repairing, and explaining each service need.
• Understand customers' requirements and concerns; match them to various service options.
• Make the customer comfortable with the service being performed and keep them informed and updated during the service of their vehicle.
• Stay abreast of new products, features, and accessories, and attend product training as required.
• Maintain a service customer follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
• Hire and supervise all service department personnel, as well as monitor their performance in servicing customers.
• Create goals and objectives for the department, including an annual operating budget and a marketing plan to promote new business.
• Maintain a high Customer Service Index (CSI) rating by handling customer complaints immediately and appropriately.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Service Manager is preferred.
• Strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
• A high school diploma is required.
• 5 years of experience in Automotive Service Management / Dealership.
• Clean and valid Driver's License.
