Assistant Server - Sorella by Giada

About the role

The Assistant Server plays a crucial role in the front-of-house team at Sorella by Giada, a new dining experience at the Hollywood Casino in Aurora. This position focuses on maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining room, assisting servers, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including floors, chairs, booths, and service stations
• Absorb and reset tables quickly and efficiently
• Assist with setup of restaurant before each shift
• Stock and reset restaurant as assigned by management
• Deliver water, bread, or other items as needed
• Refill beverages when appropriate
• Restock service stations with napkins, silverware, glassware, condiments, and other supplies
• Polish silverware and glassware
• Absorb food running when needed
• Remove trash and debris from dining areas
• Work alongside servers to provide friendly and professional guest service at all times
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude and demeanor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous restaurant experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds
• Able to remain standing or walking for the entirety of the shift length
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and recite the menu should guests have questions
