About the role

The Assistant Scientist position is available at Eurofins Agroscience Services (EAS), a leading provider of crop protection industry expertise. Based in Easton, MD, this role works with the Ecotoxicology team at a world-class facility servicing North American markets.

Responsibilities

• Assist/run toxicology studies, including preparing test solutions and maintaining test systems.
• Feed, water, and examine animals for signs of illness, disease, or injury.
• Collect and analyze biological data.
• Perform analysis, first-level, and peer-review of data for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide guidance to technicians on study assignments.
• Assist in preparation of data and final reports for completed projects or studies.
• Carry out routine experiments and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, and comply with company policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or comparable coursework.
• Familiarity and/or experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Easton, MD are encouraged to apply.
