Assistant Salon Manager, Licensed Cosmetologist

About the Role

SmartStyle Salon, conveniently located inside Walmart, is a premier salon offering high-quality hair services. Our team of passionate and talented professional hairstylists is dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences to our clients.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional leadership and guest service
• Understand your guest's needs and provide quality consultations
• Perform services requested in an efficient and professional manner

Qualifications

• Current cosmetology or barber license as required by State regulations
• Ability to lead and assist a salon manager
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Tech savvy with ability to perform administrative tasks, including closing out the system at the end of the day
• Ability to read, write, and do basic math

Physical Requirements

• Good eyesight to observe a guest's hair, including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to stand, lift, reach, bend, and perform repetitive movements
• Occasionally lift 10-25 lbs
• Comfortable with fragrances and chemicals used in treatments

Compensation

• Up to 50% in service commissions from Day 1
• Managers make up to $40/hour + tips (includes all forms of compensation)
