Assistant Sales Manager (Management Trainee)

As an Assistant Sales Manager at Shane Co., you will play a key role in fostering customer relationships and maximizing sales while continuing to hone your management skills. No jewelry experience is required—we provide comprehensive training to ensure you develop in-depth knowledge of our merchandise, represent our brand, and create an exceptional store experience for each customer. We seek motivational sales leaders who can connect quickly with others, build strong relationships with guests and teammates, and excel in communication, motivation, and proactive problem-solving. This leadership role is integral to sales, customer satisfaction, and team development, focusing on comprehensive store knowledge to enhance personal and collective performance.
Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Support, coach, and mentor sales teams through customer interactions using Shane Co. sales philosophies. Actively drive sales by understanding and meeting the unique needs of each customer on the sales floor and sharing compelling product stories that showcase features and benefits.
- Managerial Duties: Attend and participate in all scheduled store management and sales team meetings. Perform opening and closing store duties.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with store management, focusing on teamwork and communication. Demonstrate and encourage peer coaching within your team. Develop a basic understanding of all functionalities within the shop and customer service departments.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of sales or customer-facing experience; supervisory experience preferred (jewelry experience not required—training provided).
- Availability during evenings and weekends is mandatory.
- High level of visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Excellence in written and spoken English; effective communication is key.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Pay
Base pay range for this role is $30–$35/hour (specific to this location). Placement within the range is determined through interviews, experience, skills, balanced pay with other team members, and alignment with geographic market data. New hires typically start toward the lower end of the range, with higher starting rates possible for those with demonstrated sales experience, knowledge, and skills.
- Annual Increases: Average performance earns a moderate increase each year; high performers can earn a very generous annual increase. There is no ceiling to your base pay rate over time.
- Team Bonus: Participation in a weekly team bonus ranging from $0 to $150 per team member, including management.
- Individual Sales Performance Bonus: Opportunity to earn an individual bonus based on participation in team and individual sales. Open to all store roles, though sales-focused roles are more likely to achieve it.
- Management Quarterly Bonus: Additional bonus opportunity for management team members based on year-over-year total store sales achieved by the team. Amount varies by role.

Schedule
Store hours: Monday–Wednesday 10 AM–7 PM, Thursday–Friday 10 AM–8 PM, Saturday 10 AM–6 PM, Sunday 12 PM–5 PM. Weekend and evening availability is required. The company observes 7 paid holidays annually and offers shift-swapping flexibility when possible.
