About the role
W. M. Jordan Company is seeking a full-time Assistant Safety Manager with at least 5 years of safety experience. Assistant Safety Managers support all trade partners and work closely with all members of the project team to form an effective safety program.
Responsibilities
- Assist with regular inspections/audits of sites & offices
- Help manage W. M. Jordan’s Safety and Health Program
- Assist in safety training for W. M. Jordan personnel and Trade Partners
- Reinforce W. M. Jordan safety culture
- Track leading and lagging indicators
- Assist with incident investigations and documentation
- Support W. M. Jordan safety initiatives in all regions (across three states)
- Serve on the W. M. Jordan safety committee
Qualifications
- Five (5)+ years of experience in a safety role (construction preferred)
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to resolve conflict
- Excellent listening skills and detailed documentation
- CHST, OSHA 30, CPR, and EM385 certifications preferred
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam and various software
- Security clearance for federal projects required
- Valid driver's license
- CQC experience preferred
