Assistant RN Director- OR/DSU

About the role

The Assistant RN Director for the OR/DSU department at Golden Plains Community Hospital is a full-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including additional on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs
• Developing and implementing care plans
• Evaluating outcomes using the nursing process

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing
• Currently registered in the State of Texas as an RN
• BLS required by first day of employment
• ACLS and PALS required within three months of hire
• TNCC required by eighteen months of employment
• Two years of OR/DSU experience preferred
• Must be able to provide direct and supervise patient care
• Demonstrated leadership, teaching and management skills
• Must be able to attend all mandatory meetings
• Identify and address the special needs of patients of all ages, including neonate, pediatrics, adolescent, and geriatric (unit specific)
• Successfully pass required exams
• Teamwork, self-direction, and teaching skills
