Assistant Retail Store Manager
About the role
Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is seeking a Full Time Assistant Retail Store Manager for their GOODRICH store located at 8175 State Rd in Goodrich. The position involves assisting the Store Manager in managing the retail store, training staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Aid in exceeding budgeted sales and gross margin goals for the assigned store
- Promote good donor and customer relations, service, and communication
- Merchandise the sales floor with an attractive display of quality goods in sufficient quantity to fill the store
- Aid in hiring, training, retaining, motivating, and communicating with store employees
- Adequately adhere to all safety standards in the store
- Aid in safety training in regularly scheduled retail meetings
- Maintain standard of layout of backroom to ensure efficiency
- Receive, process, stock, and rotate merchandise in the most productive manner possible
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Michigan Driver's License
- One year of general retail, production, or customer service experience
- Able to lift and carry 35 pounds with or without help
- Able to reach, bend, or stoop
- Able to stand for six to eight hours a day
- Able to report to work on time with a reliable means of transportation
- Able to problem solve quickly and efficiently
- Pleasant, cheerful, and professional demeanor
