About the role

Galls® is a leading retailer serving public safety and military professionals across the United States. The company operates over 160 stores and employs over 1,800 associates, focusing on providing uniforms, equipment, and solutions to millions of law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, federal, military, corrections, security, postal, public transportation, and other essential workers annually.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales, margin, and profitability goals.
  • Execute store merchandising and product strategies.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of monthly promotional campaigns and marketing plans.
  • Assist in weekly and monthly scheduling.
  • Collaborate with inventory management team to maximize the return on inventory investments.
  • Accountable for meeting inventory objectives and effectively managing loss prevention goals.
  • Develop and implement operating processes aligned with the overall retail strategy.
  • Conduct audits within the store to ensure effective operations.
  • Aid in the selection, development, and evaluation of team members.
  • Provide performance feedback to each team member and assist in setting performance goals.
  • Train and hold staff accountable for internal operating systems, customer service principles, cash management procedures, and safety/loss prevention.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage all aspects of a retail operation.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing a retail staff.
  • Financial acumen with a proven track record in managing and tracking retail expenses and profitability.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in using “GQ” (internal sales/inventory/production system).
  • Specialty retail and/or market/industry knowledge preferred (law enforcement, fire, private security, military).
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning and demonstrate knowledge about opportunities and risks for the business.
  • Decision-making skills to assess and resolve issues.
  • Customer service skills, including listening, negotiating, and communicating to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to multitask.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent.
  • Prior retail operations leadership experience preferred, especially in a specialty retail background.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
