Job Summary

Manage the Retail Processes for all retail shops including buying, open-to-buy planning and execution, merchandise receiving, and inventory control.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum (3) years experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in the management of the retail buying process, including development of and management of buying plans
  • Exhibits the Sea Island Five-Star Behavior Standards with guests, members and co-workers
  • Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectively
  • Detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes

Responsibilities

  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and following company Dress Code Policy
  • Manage the Cloister retail buying process including execution of buying plans
  • Provide daily and monthly reporting of retail statistics
  • Manage the process of purchase orders
  • Manage receipt of goods and ticketing according to procedure
  • Maintain targeted inventory levels
  • Interact and provide product education for retail staff
  • Communicate with retail managers and leaders to insure product fulfillment and strong visual merchandising presentation in all shops
  • Aids and takes a lead position in physical inventories
  • Process all special orders on a timely basis
  • Maintain an orderly stockroom with a minimum of back stock
  • Maintain adequate par levels on identified in-stock items
  • Maintain excellent relations with all vendors represented in the retail shops
  • Remain current on latest trends and styles reflective of the Sea Island style and fashion sense
  • If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
  • Upholds appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
  • Upholds and ensures compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Reports all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
  • Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 30 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
  • Read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
  • May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards
  • No visible tattoos, visible body piercing or unnatural hair color or hairstyles per company grooming standards
