Assistant Restaurant Manager at Shake Shack

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team at Shake Shack within the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing portfolio of restaurants, including Sake Shack, Bad Egg, Mi Casa, and Stack and Press.

Responsibilities

• Manage All Restaurant and Customer Service Activities
• Lead and Develop Team
• Maintain Adherence to Company Policies and Procedures
• Maintain Brand Standards and Display Presentations
• Handle Tasks Such as Receiving, Inventory, Purchasing, Team Member Scheduling, and Payroll
• Assist in Monitoring Sales Performance
• Address Routine Issues and Escalate Complex Problems to Higher Management

Requirements

• Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree or equivalent coursework preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years in the restaurant industry in a management/supervisory capacity.
• Technical Skills: Proficient level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact at all levels, including with executives, union representatives, and diverse hourly team members. Proven track record of resolving uncomfortable situations with clients, customers, peers, and direct reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree or equivalent coursework preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in the restaurant industry in a management/supervisory capacity.
• Proficient in computer literacy, including MS Office and POS systems.
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels and resolve difficult situations.

Skills

• Effective organizational skills to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Benefits

• Competitive Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 / year + bonus
