Responsibilities
- Prioritize customer service and create a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure residents are satisfied with food, service, and dining programs.
- Prepare and execute Art of Atria Dining enhancement programs.
- Review daily menus with residents and staff.
- Orient new residents to dining room hours and dress code.
- Solve issues before they become problems or complaints.
- Aid in room service delivery according to company policy.
- Document and report resident attendance for meals.
- Train and assist in executing Quality Enhancement standards.
- Maintain dining room cleanliness and ensure proper dish handling.
- Ensure dining room floors are clean and receive regular maintenance.
- Manage beverage equipment, ice cream freezer, and staff refrigeration.
- Confirm resident satisfaction during meals.
- Aid in transportation and storage of food and supplies.
- Hold staff accountable to maintain café and hospitality stations.
- Coach and train new and current wait staff.
- Assist with special events, banquets, and theme meals.
- Communicate resident likes and dislikes to cooks, Director of Culinary Service, and Executive Chef.
- Communicate complaints and compliments to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct pre-meal stand-up in kitchen in the absence of key personnel.
- Attend and participate in department meetings.
- Notify relevant personnel of mechanical issues with equipment.
- Manage schedules and communicate resident and guest food orders accurately.
- Plan and develop menus based on resident preferences.
- Observe and enforce safety and security procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2 years experience in front of the house supervision
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees
- Basic Computer skills - Microsoft Word and Excel
