Assistant Residential Manager

About the role

Devereux Pocono provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. This position assists individuals with activities of daily living and participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of residential operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living
• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of residential operations
• Work with other dedicated professionals passionate about helping individuals in need

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, management, or related health degree OR high school diploma/GED with at least three years experience in a residential treatment setting
• Minimum of two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• At least six months of supervisory experience
• Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements

• Pre-employment physical required
• Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending, and standing required
• Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat
• Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes
• Good manual dexterity
