Description Duties

  • Document and track the physical inventory of controlled substances from sample receipt to disposal in compliance with controlled substance handling, inventory control, and usage documentation.

Qualifications

  • Non-Competitive: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Natural Sciences and one-year post-degree professional research experience in an appropriate field.
  • Substitution: 30 graduate hours leading to an advanced degree in an appropriate field may be substituted for the required experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in maintaining controlled substance physical inventory tracking, document organization, and regulatory compliance within a regulated laboratory setting.
    • Demonstrable experience in the receipt, accessioning, and tracking of samples for laboratory testing within a regulated setting.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word to author, edit, and manage documents.
    • Experience utilizing support equipment (i.e., temperature measuring devices, balances) and performing analytical support testing, preferably in cannabis.

  • Additionally, exposure to potentially hazardous substances may be involved with this position; the selected candidate may be required to wear personal protective clothing and equipment and may undergo pre-employment and/or periodic health evaluations and receive specific immunizations.
