About the role

The University of Oregon Law Library is seeking an Emerging Technology and Student Outreach Librarian to lead efforts in promoting student engagement, digital literacy, and practice-ready skills through the integration of current and emerging technologies.

  • Lead efforts to integrate current and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and data analytics, into teaching, curriculum development, and research.
  • Coordinate student outreach activities and serve as a law library liaison to student-run law journals and other law student organizations.

Responsibilities

As the Emerging Technology and Student Outreach Librarian, you will:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement with technology.
  • Collaborate with faculty to incorporate digital literacy and practice-ready skills into curricula.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops and training sessions on emerging technologies.
  • Assist in the development of digital resources and tools for student use.
  • Engage with law student organizations to promote the library's services and resources.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
  • Experience in integrating technology into library services and instruction.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Knowledge of legal research and library practices.

Qualifications
