About the role
The Assistant Recruiter provides temporary support across the hospital's recruitment teams, focusing on administrative tasks, candidate screening, and scheduling interviews.
Responsibilities
- Supports the hiring process by managing administrative tasks, scheduling interviews, and screening candidates.
- Posts job ads and reviews resumes.
- Maintains Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Conducts initial phone screens and guides candidates through the hiring process.
- Supports high-priority markets and helps deliver a standout candidate experience.
Requirements
- Partner with the recruiting team to assist with sourcing, candidate follow-up, recruitment marketing, and ATS maintenance.
- Aid recruiters in scheduling interviews, coordinating interview days, and communicating with candidates.
- Identify and source qualified candidates for assigned openings.
- Create and update recruitment resources, directories, and checklists quarterly.
- Participate in career fairs and hiring events; travel may be required.
- Provide coverage for high-priority markets and support teams when recruiters are out of the office.
- Ensure a positive, professional, and efficient candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Assist with additional recruitment projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with candidates and stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks and schedules.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel) and ATS software.
- Previous experience in HR, administrative support, or recruiting is often preferred, with a bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive and personal candidate information with discretion.
