About the role
The Assistant Purchasing Manager will play a key role in the purchasing processes of the business units, including vendor solicitation and prequalification, contract bidding, negotiation, and award, vendor performance feedback and monitoring, and dispute resolution.
Responsibilities
- Effectively conduct business unit's purchasing processes
- Vendor solicitation and prequalification
- Contract bidding, negotiation, and award
- Vendor performance feedback and monitoring
- Dispute resolution
- Vendor management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing procurement activities in the construction industry
- Valid driver's license
Qualifications

- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Knowledge of construction materials and specifications
- Experience with procurement software
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
