Assistant Property Manager Concord, NC
Weinstein Properties, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, owns and manages over 60 apartment communities across Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia. Still owned and operated by the Weinstein family after 70+ years, our continued success is attributed to our hands-on approach to daily operations and our focus on the customer experience.
About the role
The Assistant Property Manager’s responsibilities include front-line resident services, team interaction, fast-paced learning, and communicating in persuasive and difficult situations. Leadership or management experience is required. Previous property management experience is a plus but not needed if you have solid management experience from customer service, sales, or hospitality environments. We offer training and coaching to master the necessary skill sets and direction for professional development.
This is not a desk job — expect to be on your feet, engaging with prospects, walking the property, inspecting homes, and more. You’ll sometimes work outside standard hours to support resident events or assist during weather challenges.
Responsibilities
- Work with prospects interested in our communities: answer internet leads, phone calls, schedule appointments, and conduct property tours.
- Process leasing applications, prepare lease paperwork, request security deposits, and ensure leaseholders sign the lease.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, assisting with renewals, notices to vacate, early terminations, pet additions, apartment transfers, and account inquiries.
- Collaborate with maintenance: inspect apartments, monitor property needs, and follow up on work orders or maintenance requests.
- Create a great move-in experience for residents.
- Process move-outs and security deposit dispositions.
- Post rent payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Plan, prepare, and host resident activities.
- Lead the team, assist with training, and help accomplish goals.

- Team Spirit: Willing to pitch in wherever needed and prioritize team success over individual credit.
